The Legend of Cielo
The Legend of Cielo is a game by Zentech Studios, and is the first game of the Legend of Cielo series, which is somewhat of a side series of Kid Icarus, and takes place between the events of Kid Icarus: Uprising and Kid Icarus: Remembrance. It follows the adventures of Danni, a young angel from a floating steampunk city, known as Cielo.
There are 3 game modes to choose from. Move Out!, which involves Danni going through areas, wiping out as many of the Aurum troops as possible, is the RPG/Fighting mode of this game. Stay in Cielo, which involves Danni staying in his home town for the night, is the Life Simulator portion of the game, and plays very similar to Animal Crossing. And finally, the TPS, which stands for Trevos Platforming Simulator, is the Platformer mode of this game, which involves Danni testing out a simulator for the local inventor, Dr. Trevos.
Game Modes[]
Move Out![]
In this mode, it is shown that Danni is actually a commander of Viridi, and is helping stop the Aurum troops, who are invading Earth once again. This game mode plays extremely similarly to Kid Icarus: Uprising, but with a few differences. For one, rather than many types of each weapon, Danni gets one weapon of each type; rather than a bow being the most common, the default weapon is Danni's sword, the Flarebringer.
Stay in Cielo[]
In this mode, Danni stays in Cielo for the night. This mode is specifically made to let people explore, as, like in the Animal Crossing series, it runs on real time. (Or whatever time your NRS system is set to.) You can explore around, talk to the locals, and buy new weapons, upgrades, or items in the shops. In this mode, Danni's cat, Sirius, follows you around at all times.
TPS[]
In this mode, Danni is testing out a platforming simulator for Dr. Trevos. You fight enemies, and try to reach the end within the allotted time.
A young angel from Cielo, who works under the orders of the goddess of nature, Viridi. Due to this, he has access to controlling the Forces of Nature, but he prefers to not use minions to fight, and would much rather act on his own accord. He is the first playable character in the Move Out! mode, and the only playable character in the other two modes.
Danni's pet cat, and while he may not have any "special powers", he can still be fairly useful. He gained immortality when Danni begged humbly requested from Viridi that he be given it while he was on his deathbed. He isn't playable, but appears in the Stay in Cielo mode.
An angel, also from Cielo, who has been best friends with Danni for as long as either of them can remember. Danni's got this huge crush on her, too. It's kinda adorable. Anyway, she doesn't know Danni's an angel, and vice versa...at least for a little while. She is the second playable character in the Move Out! mode.
One of Danni's best friends, and one of the many angels in Cielo. He doesn't really listen to the ideas of others, and acts more on his own accord than anyone else's. He is the third playable character in the Move Out! mode.
Another one of Danni's best friends. He prefers to act by the instructions of others, and is rather clumsy when he tries to do something on his own. However, he's pretty good with computers. Just like another guy named Jake... Anyway, he's the fourth playable character in the Move Out! mode.
Yet another one of Danni's best friends, and the comic relief of the group. He tries to make a game out of everything, which oftentimes results in him getting everyone else in trouble. He is the fifth playable character in the Move Out! mode.
A resident of Cielo, and one of Danni's best friends. He has these weird time powers, which he uses at another point to try to ask out the girl he has a crush on over and over again. He is the sixth playable character in the Move Out! mode.
A traveling mercenary who calls her home Cielo, but isn't really there that often. Despite being a human, she's got the sheer power of an angel. She's also got enough sass to go around to everybody. She is the seventh playable character in the Move Out! mode.
A manifestation of Danni's dark side, created by the Mirror of Truth, when Hades butted into the fray, and Danni had to fight Pandora. However, unlike another dark angel, this one is complete, so while he has many aspects of Danni, he's almost entirely evil. But he'll help out if he sees that he can get personal gain out of it. He is not playable, but plays a major role in the Move Out! mode.
An angel of the Underworld Army, whose wings look more like those of a devil than an angel. She always seems to be bloodthirsty, but prevents herself from attacking things at Hades's command. She plays a small role in the Underworld story arc of the Move Out! mode.
A genius inventor of many oddities, who made the TPS, as well as many other numerous inventions, some failing, while others are successful. He's been a follower of Viridi for as long as anyone can remember, and has offered to invent things for her commanders many times, most often towards Danni. He appears in both the Stay in Cielo and TPS modes, having a major role in the latter.
Nuttier than a squirrel and a bit out there, Page is more... migratory... than most angels. He tends to wander far across the world, whether as part of a long-distance item retrieval mission from Viridi or just to look for interesting stories. However, he always seems to be drawn back to Cielo by some more personal business. He appears rarely in Move Out!, but he's a more prominent character in the Stay in Cielo mode.
As goddess of nature, Viridi is uber-protective of it, which has caused her major hatred towards humans, who supposedly "destroy nature itself". And while she can form some sort of bond with certain humans, showing that she does care about them to a small degree, she treats most of them as though they're just rubbish.
The goddess of lightning, and a top-tier commander of the Forces of Nature, only being comparable to Arlon, as Danni is lower-tier. Phosphora's a bit feisty when it comes to actually talking to her normally, and tends to playfully flirt with pretty much anyone, whether you want her to or not.
Despite not actually being the god specifically of anything, Arlon has powers over the MOON! ...But he's a bit refined, and tends to leave out fairly important details unless "Mistress Viridi" tells him it's not confidential.
Goddess of wind, she tends to have a goodie-two-shoes personality all the time, and prefers to solve things without violence. She tries to be right all the time, but ends up screwing herself over 80% of the time.
As god of the Underworld, Hades wants nothing more than for humans to brutally murder each other for no good reason. But he's so nonchalant about it that he's a pretty nice guy when you don't get on his nerves.
A god that had his memory completely wiped by the Aurum, and has been hiding inside the Hive itself for the past couple years. As such, he's forgotten how to speak English, and rather talks in binary. Weird as it sounds, it's actually somewhat decently translated. He escaped with the help of Danni, and has been living in Viridi's domain since.

Trivia[]
This game takes much inspiration from another Zentech Studios series, The Adventures of White, and even has a couple things based on it.
Cielo is slightly based on Sky City.
Dr. Trevos's last name comes from the area, Mount Trevos.
In this sequel to The Adventures of White, White's universe is threatened once again, this time by the Negative Alliance. White needs to stop them before they destroy the universe entirely!
