Sylveon, known in Japan as ニンフィア (Nymphia) is a Fairy-type Pokémon in the Kalos region. It evolves from Eevee after leveling up whilst knowing a Fairy-type move and having at least two Affection Points in Pokémon-Amie. Sylveon is yet another of Eevee's final forms, the others being Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, and Glaceon.
Biology[]
Sylveon is a quadrupedal Pokémon with a primarily white coating, and pink paws, tail and ears. It has a pluck of hair near its right ear and blue eyes. It has two white-pink bows: one is decorated on its neck, and the other is by its left ear. Two white, ribbon-like feelers are connected to each bow. These feelers have a blue tip, each shaped like two arches.
Sylveon can use its feelers to send a soothing aura that calms down people that argue with each other. Sylveon can also use its feelers as hands, wrapping them around the arm of its Trainer to walk with them.
Game Appearances[]
Paper Mario: The Jewel of Heart and Paper Mario: The Jewel of Soul[]
Sylveon made a cameo appearance in the fifth chapter of Paper Mario: The Jewel of Heart and Paper Mario: The Jewel of Soul. It was the one of the four Pokémon to appear in the game, the other being Mew, Diancie, and Mega Mewtwo Y.
Trivia[]
Origin[]
Sylveon shares various characteristics with all kinds of mammalian animals, just like all other members of the Eevee line.
Name Origin[]
Sylveon is a combination of either Sylph or silvan, and eon. -Eon is a suffix used in English for all the Eeveelutions.
Nymphia comes from nymph. Like the Japanese names of Leafeon and Glaceon before, it ends with the suffix -ia.
